Glee’s Mr. Schuester, Matthew Morrison, made a surprise appearance during the Glee group’s NYC performance May 29 where he performed a duet with another of Glee’s hottest dudes, Mark Salling!

“I would just like to say to all the ladies out there, I know this is a big weekend for you in North America…this (stands up and points at his body) is Sex and the City – and if you want to see Sex and the City 2 – just see my movie twice.”
– Prince of Persia star Jake Gyllenhaal, to MTV Canada this week

Evan Longoria of the Tampa Bay Rays is the latest star to expose himself! The Major League Baseball player sent his picture to a blogger for Barstool Sports, in an e-mail with nothing but the following text: “Like that babe?” The picture does not include his face but is VERY NSFW! If you want to see the goods, take a look but remember the picture is definitely NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

A Letter To Lt. Dan Choi

My partner Matthew sent an open letter to Lt. Dan Choi and with his permission I am posting it because it offers another view of the DADT repeal and Lt. Choi’s actions.

I’m becoming increasingly concerned with your actions while wearing the uniform of the various branches of the United States military.  As a former Captain in the United States Army, and one who served in silence, I can tell you that one of the distinguishing marks of a good Officer and soldier is maintaining decorum in the public eye. I can tell you, LT Choi, having borne first-hand witness to your actions, they show a lot less decorum than you should be displaying while wearing the uniform of a US Army Officer, especially a graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point.
I understand, appreciate, and empathize with your passion for equality, especially for those of us who defended the freedoms that we do not get to enjoy.  We WILL see the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, and the passage of ENDA is on the horizon.  You’ve been discharged from the US Army once under DADT, and have been allowed to rejoin your unit.  I’m sure you’ve served with honor, undertaken and completed each and every mission you’ve been assigned, and done so with passion, conviction, and pride.  Don’t give critics any more fuel for their dying fire; Secretary of Defense Gates has already given directives to senior military leaders outlining new rules for accusations and investigations, and to make way for full integration for all into active service.  It’s not going to happen overnight; it CAN’T happen overnight.  There are too many challenges and military cultural changes that need to be overcome before a safe and thorough repeal of DADT is enacted.
We all want DADT repealed.  It needs to be done properly.  This is not a situation where we want to say, “Oops, can we do that over, we didn’t think this part all the way thru.”  Maintain your own dignity and decorum, and the integrity of wearing the uniform of the US Military.  Please start acting appropriately while wearing your uniform in public.

Betty White appeared on SNL as a  result of an unprecedented Facebook campaign to have the Golden Girls star host the show. A more noteworthy skit from her appearance was White playing “Florence Dusty” on “Delicious Dish”. The Delicious Dish was a recurring comedy sketch from the Saturday Night Live television comedy series. A parody of public radio shows, the skit features Margaret-Jo McCullen (Ana Gasteyer) and Teri Rialto (Molly Shannon) as bland radio personalities who discuss numerous food and cooking ideas on National Public Radio. Betty White added her timeless humor to this classic sketch…Take a look!

It’s Miley Cyrus‘ big day! E! Online has the exclusive premiere of her new music video, “Can’t Be Tamed,” right here.

The video’s been called the “next step in the evolution of Miley,” which couldn’t be more accurate seeing as how she literally does evolve—into a bird. And not just any kind of bird, she transforms into an Aves Cyrus, a rare species of sexy dancing pop star bird that can’t be caged.

The smoky eyes, striking costumes and racy dancing all let us know she’s moved beyond “Party in the U.S.A,,” but we’re not complaining. Aves Cyruses have to be free to spread their wings (and destroy museums—seriously, check it out!). Plus, it really makes us wonder what this means for her new album, dropping June 22. Can we expect an edgier sound throughout?

So now that you’ve seen it, what do you think of this new breed of Miley?

On April 9th Mashable.com reported that Twitter Acquired Tweetie, however this evening when I checked for app updates on my iPhone I found Tweetie 2 had an update with a “Surprise!”.

When I launched the app and refreshed my timeline I found a new working “Slot Machine” addition. Below are two screen shots of this little Easter Egg of sorts, and below my screen shots is the full Mashable article on the acquisition of Tweetie.

Twitter has just announced that it has acquired Atebits, the company behind the popular Tweetie iPhone app and Mac desktop application.

Tweetie’s creator, Loren Brichter, will be joining the Twitter team as well. The app will be renamed “Twitter for iPhone” and be made free in the next few weeks. Twitter CEO Evan Williams explained the move in a blog post:

“We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve entered into an agreement with Atebits (aka Loren Brichter) to acquire Tweetie, a leading iPhone Twitter client. Tweetie will be renamed Twitter for iPhone and made free (currently $2.99) in the iTunes AppStore in the coming weeks. Loren will become a key member of our mobile team that is already having huge impact with device makers and service providers around the world.”

Twitter also specifically mentions that an official Twitter iPad app is indeed coming: “Developers, services, and publishers will be able to leverage the Twitter iPhone and iPad applications to create additional innovative tools and integrations for users,” Williams said in today’s announcement.

The move comes less than a week after a controversial blog post from Twitter investor Fred Wilson, Principal of Union Square Ventures. In it, Wilson explained that he is looking for Twitter apps to not fill holes in the Twitter platform (e.g. photo sharing, mobile apps) and instead focus on innovative products and “killer apps.” The post caught the attention of developers, who feared that Twitter itself would begin competing with their applications.

The people from FunnyorDie.com, the same ones that brought the “Gaythering Storm” video, feature the story of Lt. Snazzy the Monster. Using the outing of Lt. Monster as a puppet to demonstrate the how damaging the “no strings attached”policy is.

The faux news format is delivered by Bryce Savage who may resemble another silver fox in mainstream media.
